Akarui Koe's recording method will, in some ways, be similar to VCV, but will also be it's own method.
Koe's recording method was inspired by what Yamaha said on their website about VOCALOID.
"To make voice synthesis a reality, we begin by recording a live singer in a studio. We don't record a typical song performance, however. Instead, we record what is needed to generate the full range of elements necessary to build a convincing virtual singer. In particular, we record many combinations of vowel and consonant sounds, and many combinations of different pronunciations and song lyrics."
Koe is also planned to have VCV and CV compatibility, or voicebanks.
