The following are voicebanks that originates from Japan.
Almost all voicebanks support only Japanese, usually Nippongo. They usually follow the Hepburn style of Kana, though some voicebanks take into account Kunrei-shiki pronunciations. Almost all voicebanks are encoded in Kana (be it Katakana or Hiragana) and will cause problems to western/English users unless converted into Romaji or their machines support Japanese language.
There are notable bilingual and multilingual voicebanks such as with the case of Ruko Yokune and NAL. NAL in particular supports both Kana and Romaji, aiming to be usable by all people regardless of nationality and language.
