Aido Feirune (フェイル音アイド(ふぇいるねあいど)) is a voicebank for the UTAU program.
Profile
Aido is a very happy and peppy person, to a point where it can get annoying. However, he can be extremely shy at times, especially to people he has never met before.
Aido Feirune was revamped into Aido Ishiame during 2011. He was revived once again as Aido Feirune NG during 2023 for CV fest 2023.[1] He was made live through a series of livestreams on Youtube.[2][3][4]
Etymology details
- Name: Feirune (フェイル音) - Fail Sound. From the original concept of him being created only to fail. Aido (アイド) - Shortened from the katakana for "Idol" (アイドル).
- Others: D-01 - The first letter of CircusP's username at the time, "DaDoofus" and -01.[5]. Meaning he's the 1st character to be voiced by CircusP. NG - A pun on Miku NT, meaning "Next Generation". Is also a pun on his "Fail" theming, meaning "No Good".

- His earlier design has him wearing a black sleeveless shirt with a blue long sleeve shirt under with a green tie. He also wears dark gray shorts with a blue trim. He has boots with one blue strip going straight down the middle of each.

Aido Feirune was conceptualized as a voicebank that was set up to fail. As such, his first voicebank was recorded with an intent to "make him sound bad" although CircusP notes that he failed at doing so.

Aido Feirune NG
Aido Feirune NG is conceptualized as a Character Vocal, aka a voice-acted character. As opposed to Ishiame's voice where the focus was more on the quality, Feirune NG's focus is on the character first, "similar to Hatsune Miku NT". Feirune NG is especially noted to have a nasally-sound compared to Ishiame.

Trivia
- CircusP initially created his first concept for a "fan-vocaloid" with an unnamed character with a more orange and red color scheme.[6] This was later further refined into an UTAU-in-progress named Aido Aizana, who is described as the "Fail Twin" of a pair of UTAU CircusP planned to make with a friend.[7] Although CircusP notes that his name is subject to change due to his poor naming sense.
- This became the precursor to what would eventually become Aido and Chii Feirune, Aido's last name Aizana becoming Feirune.
